Cirencester Park Community Group
CIRENCESTER PARK COMMUNITY GROUP
How would you like to know more and be involved in what goes on in the centre of Cirencester? You would – then please come and join a group of like-minded people in the Park Community Group.
OUR HISTORY
Set up in 2010, the group was originally aligned with Cirencester Park Ward, but as a result of ward boundary changes, is now most closely aligned with Abbey Ward.
Park Community Group is listed on the Cirencester Town Council website as originally established by them to ensure town Councillors would have a forum to meet with their ward members.
Anyone who lives, works or has an interest in the town centre is welcome to come to our meetings where we meet not only with our ward Town Councillors, but also the Councillors representing us at District and County Level.
WHAT WE DO
OUR FOCUS
Meetings with Ward Councillors every 6 weeks to share information and concerns on issues affecting the Centre of Cirencester and environs
Participate in consultation processes impacting Cirencester such as neighbourhood plan, Waterloo Parking review, Cirencester Market Place Parking and Traffic Control Review
Assist the Town and District Council in disaster and emergency relief such as providing flood wardens.
Assist in community building and undertaking such campaigns and projects members think will benefit the community of Cirencester- holding public meetings to ensure residents are fully aware of issues affecting them such as the Steadings Development.
